BriteVerify for Emarsys

 

Use this guide to set up the BriteVerify app for Emarsys and learn 3 different ways to verify your existing and new email lists.

Authenticate

Note to first time users: In order to utilize any of the methods outlined, Emarsys requires that the BriteVerify app is authenticated. BriteVerify will prompt you with the following dialog when it needs access. Enter your login info and the verification will proceed. You only need to do this once.

Verifying Existing Email Lists

You can verify existing lists in Emarsys right from the BriteVerify app.

Once you're logged into BriteVerify, click the blue  + Verify List button at the top right.  A dropdown menu will offer a list of services you can import from.

STEp 2

A new dialog will appear with several options. 

In the first menu you will have access to your Emarsys lists. Choose the one you want to verify and it will display an estimated cost.

Another user input required at this stage is to determine if “risky” emails should be eliminated from the final list. “Risky” emails include “Unknown” and “Accept_all” category emails and are preferred to be removed as they can dilute a marketing campaign’s overall performance. Simply “enable” the radio button.

Choose "File" as your Export Destination. Once the verification is complete the cleaned list will be transferred to your Emarsys account.

Click "Let's Get Started" to begin the verification.

Once the verification is complete a summary of the results will be displayed and the icon in the top left will change to the Emarsys logo to indicate that the clean list has been transferred to your Emarsys account.

From here you can click View Results to see a detailed breakdown of the file verification.

From here you can click View List to jump over to the list in Emarsys. If needed, you can download 3 different sets of results (Removed, Safe to Mail and/or Full Results).  Deleting the list from BriteVerify will not delete the list from your Emarsys account.  That's it! Your new list is now available to use in Emarsys.

Onboarding A New Email List

Save the new list as a .csv or text formatted file. 

Upload the list to BriteVerify by dragging the file into the List panel or clicking Verify List and selecting Direct Upload.

Once the file is uploaded and prepped, click the Begin Verification button.

There are a few options to choose in the dialog that appears next. A small window displays the estimated cost of the uploaded file based on the total number of emails, and an option for where the output file can be transferred.

Choose Export to Emarsys as your export destination.

Give the list a name. If a list by that name already exists in Emarsys, you’ll get a prompt to revise the filename.

Migrating An Email List From Another Email Service Provider

 

Step 1

In BriteVerify, click the blue + Verify List button.

Select the service where the list is currently used. (SendGrid in this example)

There are a several options to choose in the dialog that appears next. A dropdown menu of your lists from the original location will load for you to select from. 
 

A small window displays the estimated cost of the uploaded file based on the total number of emails, and an option for where the output file can be transferred.

Another user input required at this stage is to determine if “risky” emails should be eliminated from the final list. “Risky” emails include “Unknown” and “Accept_all” category emails and are preferred to be removed as they can dilute a marketing campaign’s overall performance. 

In addition to removing the “Risky” emails, you also have a choice of removing emails that have had no activity – neither open nor click for a given period of time. Based on your selection, the verified list will now not only have clean data but also have inactive data removed.

In the third dropdown menu choose Export To Emarsys.

In the last box give the list a name.
