BriteVerify for Campaign Monitor

 

Use this guide to set up the BriteVerify app for Campaign monitor and learn 3 different ways to verify your existing and new email lists. 

 

Authenticate

Note to first time users: In order to utilize any of the methods outlined, Campaign Monitor requires that the BriteVerify app is authenticated. BriteVerify will prompt you with the following dialog when it needs access. Enter your login info and the verification will proceed. You only need to do this once.

Verifying Existing Email Lists

step 1

You may safely and instantly onboard new lists into Campaign Monitor right from the BriteVerify app.

Once you're logged into BriteVerify, click the blue                + Verify List button at the top right.  A dropdown menu will offer a list of services you can import from.

Choose Campaign Monitor.

 

STEp 2

A new dialog will appear with several options.

  • In the first menu you will choose a Campaign Monitor client.

 

  • In the second menu you will choose the specific list to verify.

 

  • Choose if you want to remove risky emails.
  • In the third menu you can you decide if you want to remove inactive emails.

 

  • If you're exporting your list to a service outside of Campaign monitor, you can select an export destination. If you want to verify the list within Campaign Monitor, leave the last selection as File.

Click the blue Let's Get Started button to begin the verification process.

Once the verification is complete a summary of the results will be displayed. From here you can click View Results to see a detailed breakdown of the file verification.

 

The clean list has been updated in Campaign Monitor automatically. Click View List to jump over to the list in Campaign Monitor. If needed you can download the results here. Deleting the list from BriteVerify will not delete the list from your Campaign Monitor account.

 

Onboarding A New Email List

 

step 1

 

Save the new list as a .csv or text formatted file. 

Upload the list to BriteVerify by dragging the file into the List panel or clicking Verify List and selecting Direct Upload.

 

 

Once the file is uploaded and prepped, click the Begin Verification button. 

 

step 2

There are a few options to choose in the dialog that appears next. A small window displays the estimated cost of the uploaded file based on the total number of emails, and an option for where the output file can be transferred.

  • Choose Export to Campaign Monitor as your export destination.
  • A list of your Campaign Monitor clients will load for you to select from.
  • Give the list a name. If a list by that name already exists in Campaign Monitor, you’ll get a prompt to revise the filename.

  • Decide if you want to remove risky emails.

Click the blue Let's Get Started button to initiate the verification process.

Once the verification is complete a summary of the results will be displayed. From here you can click View Results to see a detailed breakdown of the file verification.

Migrating An Email List From Another Email Service Provider

 

Step 1

 

In BriteVerify, click the blue + Verify List button.

Select the service where the list is currently used. (SendGrid in this example)

There are a several options to choose in the dialog that appears next. A small window displays the estimated cost of the uploaded file based on the total number of emails, and an option for where the output file can be transferred.

  • A dropdown menu of your lists from the original service will load for you to select from. 

 

  • Decide if you want to remove risky emails.
  • In the second menu you can you decide if you want to remove inactive emails. This is recommended.

 

  • In the third dropdown menu choose Export To Campaign Manager.
  • In the fourth dropdown menu choose the client account that will receive the list.
  • In the last box give the list a name.
